Kingwood Texas is a planned community in Harris County in the far Northeast area of the city of Houston. Originally developed by Friendswood development in an unincorporated area of Harris County and a small portion in Montgomery County, the development was annexed by the City of Houston in 1996.
Bordered by Hwy 59 to the west and Lake Houston to the South and East, Kingwood is a community of choice due to its easy access to Intercontinental Airport and downtown via Hwy 59.
